Driving and Weapons License Aptitude Test Center

 

In our center we apply the new regulation by which at the time of taking the test, we make the photos digitally and paying the traffic taxes (if it is suitable) we give you a provisional driving license, valid for 90 days, time within which the DGT will send the final one to your home by post.

With this system, you no longer have to travel to Alicante to the DGT or use advice to renew your driver’s license.

For procurement purposes, when performing the test for the first time we can provide you with the medical certificate that Traffic requires for processing, in this case, the management is done by the driving school. For those who come straight from the driving school with the first card just obtained, a very special test price: 20 € 

For exchanges, we provide the same medical certificate, but it is the interested part who must go to Alicante Traffic to conclude the formalities. If you wish, we will process the exchange in Alicante Traffic. We suggest that you ask us for information

What documents should you bring us?

• Original driver's license.
• DNI/ NIE/ Residence Document.
• If you wear glasses or lenses to drive: You must bring them for the test.
• We recommend providing a certificate of the graduation of your glasses or lenses issued by your optics.
• If you use a hearing aid: Bring it on for testing.
• If you take medicines: We recommend bringing a written list of them.
• If you have a disability bring us all the official documentation possible accreditation.

Information Note for Exchanges and Expeditions

 

According to the Provincial Traffic Headquarters in Alicante it is mandatory to process the Exchange once they obtain residence in Spain, they have the age they are and even if the validity period of their country's permit is indefinite. The new permissions will be adjusted to the Spanish validity periods. Due to Brexit, we recommend that British citizens report very well in their country before attempting to process their Exchange in Spain.

If you come to our center to take the test (40 euros) and then request the Exchange of your permission to Spanish at the offices of the DGT in  Alicante, you can process it yourself or order it to your usual advice, or if you prefer, you can do it with us. Just give us the documentation that we will request and with our Driving License Exchange Service we will manage it for the price of 95 euros.

The time to obtain the Spanish permit is variable (weeks to months) and depends on the Alicante-Madrid administrative axis of the DGT (Ministry of the Interior).

If you are a member of Centro Clínico SMART SALUD Torrevieja, either individually or because you belong to any group or group associated with us, prices can have from 30% to 50% discount (fees for DGT not included).
